Stoton Velo Club is a group of recreational
and racing cyclists in Stoughton,
Wisconsin. We sponsor weekly training rides on
Wednesday and Thursday nights in Stoughton and
welcome riders of allabilities.
We sponsor a cyclocross race each
October which is part of the Wisconsin Cup
race series and is normally
held at Badger Prairie Park in Verona,
Wisconsin.
Many
of our members participate in ABR (American Bicycle Racing),
USCF and WISPORT
sanctioned events.
We host
the "Badfish Flyin' 40" Time
Trial in July which is an event in the WISPORT
race series. The Time Trial course takes riders on the quiet
back roads surrounding the Badfish Creek Wildlife area
south-west of Stoughton.
Club members are entitled to discounts on merchandise from our title sponsor, Stoton Cycle.
Many of our club members also participate in multi-day bike tours such as TOMRV and
RAGBRAI.
If any success on the bike comes our way, it is icing on the proverbial
cake. We enjoy riding together and we recognize that bike riding and racing
is only a hobby.
We all have "real" lives and families to which
we devote the bulk of our time and energy. For us, bike riding is an outlet;
a stress-reducer. Biking is an opportunity to stay healthy,
spend time with friends, and share a good laugh.
